David Vs Gloria-iath.
Amazing. I can’t believe what I read and seen on TV just a minutes ago. GMA is running for Congress. I’ve heard it all week, maybe more than two. In the midst of the H1N1 pandemic, climate change, global recession, more than half of the country in poverty the president is planning con-ass and (maybe) running for congress. The plan, as before, change the form of government from republic to parliament… the president (now) hopes to win in congress next year, then be the prime minister. Still in power!
What is happening to my beloved country (drama!).
I certainly am one very very optimistic person. In spite of a traumatic adolescence (OA to), I chose to be better. I chose a path which made myself a better individual. I think that is one problem that Philippines have. We’ve struggled so much in the past as written in our history. We’ve won over the Spaniards (or so we thought, until we’ve read that the Spanish government sold us to the US), we’ve slugged it out with the US as well and then the Japs.
Plus the many tumultuous years under the Marcos Regime… We’ve also ousted what we’ve perceived to be a corrupt president in Estrada… But now? What is happening Philippines? Don’t we ever learn?

I guess we have to accept the fact that our country would remain as such or am I being too pessimistic? Okay, maybe one day, Philippines will embrace change but we’re here no more to see the day. Hayz, kakalungkot.
