I’m glad yesterday was over (is this even grammatically correct?). I went to get my passport today (this was wednesday). The Philippine government just said that it is now releasing machine readable ones. Translation= waiting time for passports to be released will be much much longer. haaay.
Anyway, let me try to recount how it went for me today. I got a haircut. To tell you honestly a much needed one. I needed to have my freakin’ rockstar look out and a fresher me in! duh. I had to wait almost an hour for the stylist to come in before I had it done. It was after 11 when I got to DFA in Jacinto St. Good thing my cousin mac has a photograhy shop beside DFA so I can have my photo take before I get my passport. Another thing, they (staff there) knows what I should be bringing. So they were the ones who arranged my papers, photocopied and all before I begin my quest.
I finally went inside DFA about 1PM, I was number 185. When I asked the guard they were still serving about 100 or so, I had time to take my lunch. I was hungry. I grabbed a Space Burger with my younger sister, Love and had to rush back to the DFA lounge for the wait.
I tell you, it was W-A-I-T with all capital letters! I sat there and waited from 1:30 all the way to passed 3PM before I got served. The DFA personnel checked my papers and went trhough smoothly. I then waited for another few minutes for my data to be encoded in their database.
When my name was called I was liked relieved. Finally. I was getting fidgetty by the minute. I was actually using my SE K800i cellphone to go online my Yahoo Messenger and actually was exchanging messages with my bestfriend. And was really complaining.
My complain? Well, I was on the last step– that was to pay the cashier and supposed to be almost finished, darned! I think the lady assigned to the post took her coffee break! I was like, what?! Hasn’t she noticed that there are a LOT of people waiting for their names to be called. Haay.
Anyway, what’s done is done. I’m over it. Am going to my next step. Clearance from my DOST Scholarship.

naku its really hard kumuha ng passport. mapapagod ka lang at iinit ulot. experience yan ng mga kakilala ko kaya nung dumating yung time that i needed to get one, dinaan ko sa agency. mas mahal nga lang kasi i paid 1200 pero sulit naman. i only went there for personal appearance and it took me like 15-20 mins lang. ang bilis ng process. hassle-free.
I had the option to get my passport via an agency… it will cost me twice! geeesh.. I have leave credits to use. Why not go there and take the adventure? hehehe… I think it’s much harder there in Manila than here in Davao.
